Who doesn’t want to feel Bulletproof?

Have you heard all the fuss about Bulletproof coffee yet? I started it the end of last summer and love it!  As a Health and Wellness Coach I try to keep up with the latest information and read every new book about health and diet that comes onto the market to stay educated. There is something new everyday and people are confused. Low fat, low carbs, high fat, high protein, etc.  Through my research I came across Dave Asprey’s book,  The Bulletproof Diet. In his book he discusses how we need good healthy fats to burn fat and have more energy throughout the day, and starting with his Bulletproof coffee was one way.  I’d given up coffee 2 years ago for lemon water and green tea. I quit my coffee because the Hazelnut CoffeeMate Creamer I loved so much was killing my stomach and bad for me.  I was so excited about adding this back to my morning routine but in a healthy, fat burning, energizing way! Immediately I ran over to Whole Foods and bought some Brain Octane Oil. I also purchased Grass-Fed Butter  4th & Heart Himalayan Pink Salt .

The first day I felt satisfied, had tons of energy and no stomach issues! If you’re like me, you’re probably rushing around in the morning and don’t have time to eat breakfast. The Bulletproof Coffee is a great replacement. It keeps me full until noon.

Here are some benefits to BulletProof Coffee:

  • Helps reduce or eliminate brain fog and keeps you focused
  • Keeps you satisfied for hours
  • Reduces food cravings
  • Energy boosting
  • Increases fat-burning
  • Reduces inflammation (Butyrate, fatty acid in the butter shown to decrease inflammation)
  • Balances hormones

The recipe:

  • 1 cup Bulletproof or any high quality coffee
  • 1 tsp of Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil, after several days, gradually increase to 1 tbsp to reduce upset stomach
  • 1 tbsp of Grass-Fed Butter
  • Optional: Stevia, Cinnamon, Vanilla extract, Collagen Protein

Directions: Put all ingredients into a blender and mix well for 30-60 seconds for a frothy treat!

You may be asking, “why butter?”.  The Grass-fed Butter or Ghee is loaded with essential nutrients such as, Omega 3’s, CLA, Beta Carotene, Vitamins A, K, D, and E.  It’s also high in Butyrate, which is a short-chain fatty acid that prevents and decreases inflammation. The butter also slows the absorption of the caffeine, so you have lasting energy for hours without crashing or jitters.

If you’re not a coffee drinker, you can add Brain Octane to tea or a smoothie.
